LLamasoft Training

Monday, June 18, 2012 - TRAINING (each class is one-day long)

Supply Chain Guru® Basic I - Participants build a simple yet complete supply chain network model using the powerful features within the Supply Chain Guru user interface. This course covers topics including model data requirements, data import and export, geocoding, costs and capacities, and basic solving techniques. Participants are introduced to scenarios for use in configuring “what-if” conditions. Analysis of network optimization results using tables, maps, charts and reports is explored. Prerequisites: None

Inventory Optimization with Supply Chain Guru® - Use product classification, demand profiles and safety stock rules to determine cycle stock, prebuild inventory and safety stock. Analyze demand and lead time variability as it impacts the different types of inventory and evaluate the resulting costs, capacities, inventory levels, landed cost and service levels. Prerequisite: working knowledge of Supply Chain Guru.

Vehicle Routing - Learn how to set up inbound and outbound shipment consolidation using transportation modes, assets, and time windows for shipments and locations. Constrain your routing using vehicle speed and capacity, route characteristics, product, asset and location restrictions. Analyze the results using the maps, tables and reports available in Supply Chain Guru. Prerequisite: working knowledge of Supply Chain Guru.

Supply Chain Guru® Basic II - Participants build a simple yet complete supply chain network model using the powerful features within the Supply Chain Guru user interface. Participants are introduced to scenarios for use in configuring “what-if” conditions. Analysis of network optimization results using tables, maps, charts and reports is explored. Prerequisites: None

Supply Chain Guru® Simulation - This session focuses on modeling values such as demand, lead time and processing time using statistical variability. Analyze the behavior of the model in simulation to assess flow time, service levels, and inventory levels and observe the effects of changes to sourcing, transportation and inventory policies using discrete event simulation. Prerequisite: working knowledge of Supply Chain Guru.

SQL Data Manipulation - Learn how to create and modify data tables, merge information, and extend the usefulness of your data using structured query language (SQL) on Microsoft SQL Server.

Network Optimization – Advanced Learn how to model process recipes, resources and work centers and get exposure to more advanced constraint modeling, including capacity constraints and count constraints. Additional topics include advanced scenario design, optimization options, multi-time period modeling, and demand profiles. Prerequisite: working knowledge of Supply Chain Guru and experience in network optimization.
