Audrey’s Is Planning To Expand in Atlanta!
We are planning to expand our corporate showroom in Atlanta giving us additional square footage along the home decor side of the showroom. The expansion will more than likely take place in two different phases, with the first phase which should be completed in time for the July show. There is a good possibility we will be expanding again adding an additional small showroom along the same corridor, in which the expansion will take place in the fall and be completed for the January show. If everything works out as planned, we should be able to add approximately 1200 sq.ft. of much-needed showroom space.
We Have Plenty of Merchandise in Stock!
Please don't forget that we have categories to help you find items that are in-stock for immediate ship so you can stock your shelves quickly and easily.
Retailer Spotlight:
Southern Hospitality - Plant City, Florida
Southern Hospitality is a Christian family owned and operated store that has been in business for over 35 years and a customer of Audrey's for several years. Southern Hospitality is located in the heart of Plant City, Florida and has become a popular destination for shoppers all throughout the Southeast with over 73,000 square-foot of selling space that is full of merchandise. The family business started in the late 70's when store owners Jim and Linda Connell opened their first store in Plant City in a 700 square-foot building. This seemed to be the logical move after Linda began selling her handmade crafts at home parties and Jim Jr. was making a style of pine furniture that was in great demand at the time. It was in these early years that they made a religious decision to be closed on Sunday. Jim says, "I believe if I give the Lord what He asked for, He will make up the difference in the other six days."
In the following years, the family business experienced good times, various moves, and buyouts. One day they received an offer from a gentleman to buy their store which was then called "Our House." The Connell's accepted his offer. They then bought a small shop in Lakeland by the name of Southern Hospitality. Soon after this, the same gentleman that purchased their first business made them another offer. Once again, they sold him the business, but this time they kept ownership of the store's name. In 1984, the Connell's continued to enjoy what they were doing, and they built a 4000 square-foot steel building on the family property and sold their unique merchandise wholesale to the public.
The building had no windows, no air conditioning, and a sign out front that informed customers to "honk your horn." Jim, Linda, Jim Jr.  and his wife Shelly worked this way for about three years. Linda recalls, "We just went to shows and bought what we liked and hoped that other people would like it also." Their customers certainly did! Without the store's name on the building or ads in papers, people found their way to Southern Hospitality. The next move took them to the Plant City Mall where they experience continued growth and success.
In 1999, Southern Hospitality moved to its current location and the Connell's have filled the 73,000 square-foot facility with things that simply "catch their eyes" at markets and shows. The Connell's continue to enjoy working together and consider all of their  employees to be part of their family. Also, there has been 2 other generations to join them. Jim and Shelly's two kids, their son James III and their daughter Heather. Heather's oldest son has recently started at Southern Hospitality. So they now have 4 generations involved in their family business.  Linda says, "It is a myth that you cannot work with family and friends. We wouldn't do it any other way!"
Easter Peeps S’Mores Dip
PREP TIME: 15 mins  |  COOK TIME: 7 mins  |  TOTAL TIME: 22 mins  |  SERVINGS: 8

  • Butter or Crisco for greasing
  • 3 cups (18 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 18 Peeps marshmallow bunnies
  • Graham crackers and pretzels for dipping
  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Make sure the oven rack is in the middle of the oven. Place a spoonful of Crisco or pat of butter on a paper towel and grease the baking dish.
  2. Pour the chocolate chips in the baking dish and spread evenly with your hands. Arrange the Peeps bunnies on top. For a 9-inch square pan, I fit 6 Peeps across in 3 rows.
  3. Place the baking dish in the oven, keeping an eye on the Peeps. Bake until the Peeps start to brown lightly, puff a big, and start to crack, about 6 to 7 minutes. Make sure not to over-brown the Peeps!
  4. Serve warm with graham crackers and pretzels, or any other dippers you prefer.
