Audrey’s Open House a Tremendous Event!!
The Audrey’s Open House event was incredibly successful and was held last month on Monday August 13. The morning began with very heavy rain and some flooding in areas around the warehouse, however that did not deter the loyal customers who came out to the one-day extravaganza. The Audrey's team worked extremely hard in preparing for this event, and the preparation was worthwhile as Audrey’s customers enjoyed the hospitality, great food, wonderful door prizes, and tremendous shopping. Customers took advantage of the Open House sale that featured over 700 items at a discount. This was the largest sale for the open house event and we have extended this as a Customer Appreciation Sale to thank you for your business. Ken and Audrey Mull started having the event in August 2002 and have been welcoming customers ever since with great appreciation for their business. The Open House event is a personal way for the Audrey’s team to say thank you to our loyal customers! Click below to view the event photo gallery.

We are Thankful for Your Business!
As Summer starts to fade into the rear-view mirror, we suddenly find ourselves embracing the new season. Whether you’re a fan of sweaters, pumpkins, football or the changing colors of the leaves, Fall gives us so much to look forward to. It’s also a wonderful time for reflection and thankfulness. We often get caught up in our daily tasks that we fail to take the time to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for. We at Audrey’s, are so grateful for you, our customer. You are the reason we get to do what we love each and every day and our wish for you is to reap the harvest of a successful 4th quarter.
US Government Announces Tariffs
This past summer, the United States government announced a series of tariffs on certain imported goods from China. Needless to say, this was disappointing news as Audrey’s always strives to provide the highest quality of product at an exceptional price and value.  While we are uncertain as to the total impact of these tariffs, since many of them are under review of the US government, we do anticipate they will impact the cost of some of our products as well as our competitors. At this point, we feel that this should only impact a small portion of the Audrey’s line. However, we just wanted to make you aware of this situation and you have our continued commitment to provide you with products with exceptional design and also at an excellent value proposition.
A Few Fun Fall Facts
  • When leaves change color in the Fall, they are actually becoming their true color. In the Summer, chlorophyll (which is how the leaves receive nourishment from the sun) takes over and causes them to turn green.
  • The largest ever pumpkin pie was made in New Bremen, OH. It was 20 feet in diameter and weighted 3699 pounds. It took days to bake and was cut into 5000 slices.
  • The world’s tallest tree, named Hyperion measures more than 360 feet. It is a redwood located in California and measures just a few feet shorter than the Empire State Building.
  • According to superstition, catching leaves in Autumn brings good luck.
  • Each Autumn, Monarch Butterflies migrate from the US to Mexico and Southern California. They are the only insect that migrates to a warmer climate that is 2500 miles away.

  • Americans typically refer to this time of year as “fall,” while the British use the word “autumn.” Both terms date back to the 16th century but before that it was called “harvest”.
  • Fall was called “harvest” because of the “harvest moon” that occurs when the full moon is closest to the autumn equinox. Before man-made lighting, this moonlight was essential to a prosperous harvest.
  • Red and purple leaves are only that color because of the presence of sugars and sap that are trapped within the leaves. These sugars provide plants with the energy they need to survive.
  • Many birds will prepare for their winter migration during the fall. The distance they can travel is impressive; the Arctic Tern travels 11,000 miles each way for it’s annual migration. That’s no small feat.
  • One gallon of apple cider takes about 40 individual apples to make.
  • Washington, the top apple-producing state, will harvest nearly 133 million boxes of apples this year.
