As we leave August behind, change is upon us. It’s quieter outside, the songbirds are flying south, and the crisp morning air reminds us that autumn is on its way. The leaves shift to vibrant shades of red, orange and yellow, transforming the landscape into a painting. It’s a time of reflection and celebrating what we are most thankful for. Audrey’s Launches Nearly 300 New Items!
During the month of August, Audrey's released nearly 300 new items in many categories, which debuted during the most recent Atlanta Gift Show held at AmericasMart. We are proud to bring you our newest release for spring, summer, and everyday 2021 which features a number of new collections. We have worked extremely hard in putting these collections in place and feel we have the right mix of product, the right design, and most importantly - at the right price, to make you successful in selling the Audrey's Line. New items will be available to ship in early December.

Each collection offers a fresh and clean aesthetic while offering unique, inspiring and quality characteristics to set Audrey's products apart from other brands.

Delayed Atlanta Show Kicks off Summer Show Season Amid Pandemic
Audrey's participated at the Atlanta Gift and Home Furnishings Show, which was originally scheduled for July 7-13, but was then postponed by the AmericasMart, based on the developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The rescheduled show was held August 13-18th as Audrey's launched new items for Spring, Summer and Everyday 2021. A large number of exhibitors did not open their showrooms and attendance was drastically down, however Audrey's had a successful show with all things considered.

Everyone Loved the Audrey's Totes!
"We had very low expectations going into the show not knowing what to expect," said Don Barton VP Sales and Marketing for Audrey's. "We were extremely pleased with the show's results given the overall circumstances." AmericasMart did an excellent job and took all the necessary precautions in hosting the event staged as showroom-only buying opportunities- with no temporaries, including mandatory masks, temperature checks, and monitoring showroom capacities. Most of the buyers that attended were buying, citing that their business was better than normal as people turn to home related and decorating projects during the pandemic.

Audrey’s New Catalog Is on the Way!
The new Audrey’s catalog Vol. 41 Spring, Summer, and Everyday has been mailed to customers and should be arriving soon. This beautiful catalog features over 130 pages of new products in various collections and categories. Please note that all new items are expected to ship in December. Due to the current circumstances and uncertainties during this time, which may last through the end of the year, this catalog contains only new items for this 2021 seasonal release. You should still use our Fall and Winter catalog Volume 40, that features a great majority of our everyday home decor. We are also offering a pre-booking dating program special with a deadline for orders to be placed by September 15. Please click the link below for details and get your orders in as soon as possible.

We have launched a series of videos of our top-selling collections in which you can view each video and shop the items within the video, all in the same window. Each top-selling video collection is a short clip in which you can pause at any point to view the items, listen to the narrative and how the items are displayed. Audrey’s Launches New Small Business Initiative
Our goal with this successful new initiative is to help you generate sales with no risk during these challenging times. This initiative was put in place back in April of this year to allow our retailers to use the power of our website so your customers can place orders with you! Your customer will see over 4000 items with retail pricing from the comfort of their home, and place orders directly with you.

Open House a Tremendous Success!
Audrey's held it's 40th anniversary on August 10, 2020. The day started out with customers lining up around the building before opening. When the doors opened, people flooded in to start their shopping, door prizes were being won every hour, and everyone had fun enjoying our free lunch and playing games. To all our loyal customers, we want to say thank you for coming out to our annual Open House and celebrating 40 wonderful years with us. Audrey’s was overwhelmed by the outstanding turnout and the great feedback from customers. We hope you enjoyed the event and will continue to Bring Happiness Home!

Rustic Lantern Co. - Griffin, GA
From Dream to Thriving Business!
 
Ashley Martin had a dream that started in a little antique booth in a little town and has turned that dream into a thriving business! Ashley Martin and her husband Danny are the owners of Rustic Lantern Co. out of Griffin, GA. Ashley reflects at the time that she owned the antique booth.  "I knew during that time, that just was not enough for me, I felt like my creativity was squashed," says Ashley. "I saw there was a new development with spaces for lease underway near our home in Williamson Ga., so I told my husband about it, we prayed about it, and decided to go for it!" Ashley's husband was an auto mechanic at the time and Ashley was a stay at home mom who photographed weddings on the side.
 
They opened that 1500 sq. space in 2018 and they have never looked back. "I absolutely loved it and everything that we created there. I always feel like I am in my element in developing home decor projects and decorating as well as providing must haves in home decor for our customers," says Ashley.  "From that location, we started growing pretty fast." Then Ashley started selling home decor including merchandise from Audrey's on Facebook Live events, which threw their growth into overdrive. "I choose to buy from Audrey's because their products are so affordable, but still provide a large selection for us to choose from. They also cater to all styles and have a great selection of modern decor that fits so well in my store,” states Ashley.

As a result of their success from Facebook selling, they had to lease another space just for packing and shipping and acquired a new 4500 square-foot space in which they opened in February 2020. "I saw this place in downtown Griffin GA one day, and for some reason I just knew that was the space that could help us with our growth," says Ashley. Since then, they have added an even larger warehouse, a shipping and sales department, and her husband has started working for the company full time. Definitely a busy time for Ashley and Danny while being parents of 5 children with ages that range from 4-14 years old.
 
 
Their business has been a tremendous success, and even with the pandemic hitting, their business has continued to grow incredibly over the last number of months. Ashley reflects on her recipe for success. "You have to give it your all, be consistent, and let God shine through in all you do, so you can treat every customer like they are your best friend the minute they walk through that door," says Ashley. Looking at their results, this is definitely a recipe for success along with hard work, determination, and a desire to live out your dream.

Taste of Home - Apple Comfort
PREP TIME: 30 mins    COOK TIME: 4 hours    SERVINGS: 8

INGREDIENTS:
  • 8 medium tart apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • Vanilla or cinnamon ice cream, optional
DIRECTIONS:
  • In a large bowl, combine the apples, sugar, flour and cinnamon. Spoon into a greased 3-qt. slow cooker. Whisk the eggs, cream and vanilla; pour over apple mixture. Combine the cracker crumbs, pecans and butter; sprinkle over top.
     
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until apples are tender. Serve warm, with ice cream if desired.
